Try not to die of shock when you see I'm posting twice in one month! lol
Over on Facebook, Kyra Lennon posted a round-up of the last decade, and I thought it'd be cool to do the same ... only my post started to become longer than any Facebook post should be, so I decided to move it over here to my blog.
Although I posted earlier on in the month looking back on the year, and talking about my goals for 2020, I wanted to touch on them a little again, while also reflecting on all that's happened to me since 2009.
So, here it is ...
I'm back with a new blog update. I'm a bit out of sync with my schedule, and have pretty much missed October, but ah well, that's life, I guess.
But enough of that, let's get to it...
It's September the first, meaning all over the UK, witches and wizards aged between 11 - 18 are aboard the Hogwarts Express, travelling to Hogwarts.
Alas, my Hogwarts letter never came, and I'm just a simple muggle, updating my monthly blog.
*queues The Little Mermaid soundtrack*
"I wanna be where the wizards are, I wanna learn, wanna learn the magic. Casting spells with those (Whad'ya call 'em?) oh - wands. Waving your hands you don't get too far. Wands are required for magic and hexing. Strollin' along down (What's that place again?) Diagon Alley. Where they fly. Where they run. Up where they play Quidditch all day in the sun. Wanderin' free, wish I could be, going to Hogwarts..."
Okay, with that musical interlude over, onto what's being going on in my life this past month...
I've once again fallen behind on my self-imposed blogging schedule, and to be honest, pretty much everything else in life. I haven't don't much productive during May and June, and haven't been putting as much effort into work as I could be.
Yes, we've had some stuff going on in our personal lives (more on that later), but I'm sick of making excuses for my crappy behaviour. The truth is often I'm a lazy fuck. I want to do more. I want to put more effort in at work, I want to finish my novel, There's so much I want to do, and yet I allow myself to slack off. I nap too often and instead of focusing on important things, I play video games.
Well, it stops now.

I'm still trying to get back into the swing of blogging once a month, but considering we're only four days into May, and I'm here with an update about what went on during April, I think that's pretty good right?
I think for the time being, I will likely be sticking to monthly update. I will try to update on the last weekend of every month, but it is possible a new update might get pushed to early the following month, depending on how busy I am.
Okay, enough schedule talk, click on the 'read more' link to see what I've been up to in April.
Since the New Year I've been terrible at keeping to my monthly blogging schedule, but I'm hoping to get back to it now. It's been a mixture of reasons - that I don't really feel like going into now - but I feel bad for neglecting my blog and want to get back on track.
So, here's what I've been up to the last few months.
I started this blog post on Dec 29, with the intention of updating before the end of the year, but then time got away from me, and now it's January 2! lol Better late than never though, right?
I started blogging again in June with the aim of updating once a month, and I'm thrilled to have kept to that. Six update might not seem that much to some people, but with family life, work, writing and everything else going on, to me it's a good achievement.
Good achievements are actually what I want to focus on in this post, and as I go into the New Year.
So, let's dive in...
So, it's November 30, NaNoWriMo is pretty much over, and I'm here with my regular blog update.
Follow the read more cut to find out what I've been up to in the month of November....
This month, I haven’t fallen behind on my target to blog at the beginning of every month, I purposely left updating my blog until the end of the month for a couple of reasons: so it wasn’t too soon after my September update, and also because I had interesting things going on at the end of the month that I wanted to talk about.
So, after the [read more] cut is what I’ve been getting up to in October. Dive in…
