Hey everyone!
I've once again fallen behind on my self-imposed blogging schedule, and to be honest, pretty much everything else in life. I haven't don't much productive during May and June, and haven't been putting as much effort into work as I could be. Yes, we've had some stuff going on in our personal lives (more on that later), but I'm sick of making excuses for my crappy behaviour. The truth is often I'm a lazy fuck. I want to do more. I want to put more effort in at work, I want to finish my novel, There's so much I want to do, and yet I allow myself to slack off. I nap too often and instead of focusing on important things, I play video games. Well, it stops now. To read more about my renewed motivation, plans for the coming months, and what's been happening in my life for the last few months, click the "read more" link. I'm still trying to get back into the swing of blogging once a month, but considering we're only four days into May, and I'm here with an update about what went on during April, I think that's pretty good right?
I think for the time being, I will likely be sticking to monthly update. I will try to update on the last weekend of every month, but it is possible a new update might get pushed to early the following month, depending on how busy I am. Okay, enough schedule talk, click on the 'read more' link to see what I've been up to in April. Since the New Year I've been terrible at keeping to my monthly blogging schedule, but I'm hoping to get back to it now. It's been a mixture of reasons - that I don't really feel like going into now - but I feel bad for neglecting my blog and want to get back on track.
So, here's what I've been up to the last few months. I started this blog post on Dec 29, with the intention of updating before the end of the year, but then time got away from me, and now it's January 2! lol Better late than never though, right?
I started blogging again in June with the aim of updating once a month, and I'm thrilled to have kept to that. Six update might not seem that much to some people, but with family life, work, writing and everything else going on, to me it's a good achievement. Good achievements are actually what I want to focus on in this post, and as I go into the New Year. So, let's dive in... So, it's November 30, NaNoWriMo is pretty much over, and I'm here with my regular blog update.
Follow the read more cut to find out what I've been up to in the month of November.... This month, I haven’t fallen behind on my target to blog at the beginning of every month, I purposely left updating my blog until the end of the month for a couple of reasons: so it wasn’t too soon after my September update, and also because I had interesting things going on at the end of the month that I wanted to talk about.
So, after the [read more] cut is what I’ve been getting up to in October. Dive in… I've fallen a bit behind on my target to update my blog on the first of every month, but that's because the end of August/ beginning of September feels like it was really busy, and went by super fast.
It's the first of the month, which means it's time for an update. Here's what's been going on in my life since last time I updated.
As it's the beginning of the month (sort of. I started this post on July 1st, but then never finished it, because I'm terrible!) I thought I'd post an update on what's been going on since my last entry.
Happy Monday, Folks!Last week, Kyra Lennon and I announced our Miles of Smiles Challenge. Our way of spreading some happiness across the interwebs in these dark times.
The aim of the challenge if on June 12 (today) those taking part post their lists of things that make them smile/ make them happy/ cheer them up when things are crappy. The obvious things like family, friends etc. are excluded. What we're looking for is the little, almost trivial things, that brighten your day. Here's my list of things that make me smile: |
